2020: A Quiz Looking Back On A Year Like No Other was a witty, irreverent and giggle-a-minute, one-off, end-of-year comedy news panel show on RTÉ Radio 1 that I produced and edited for Pegasus Consulting.
Recorded at Windmill Lane, two teams of world-weary funny folk battled it out to see who, if anyone, had been paying even the slightest bit of attention to the news over the previous twelve months.
In their sights were 2020’s big international stories, the main Irish headline-grabbing events of the year, and those oddball internet stories and viral videos that may well have escaped Six One News’ attention but not ours.
Host Colm O’Regan did his damnedest to moderate a panel of well-known, uppity Irish comedians, Justine Stafford, Michael Fry, Emma Doran and Tony Cantwell – with more than a little help from writer, Aidan Fitzmaurice – as they sliced and diced all the year’s news highlights and lowlifes for unsparing guffaws and giggles.
